Aircraft Dispatcher Courses which qualify graduates for the FAA Aircraft Flight Dispatcher certificate. Currently These courses are in partnership with Pan Am International Flight Academy, IRC International is the provider for Pan Am's courses. Initial Dispatcher Courses IRC International currently offers two courses for the FAA Aircraft Flight Dispatcher License. These courses are designed for individuals or airline new hires seeking their FAA Aircraft Flight Dispatchers License and are offered in either 6 week or 3 week courses. Ab-Intio Dispatcher Licensing Course – 200 Hours (6 Weeks) For students with no aviation experience, IRC provides a 200 hour comprehensive course. Students attend class five days a week and are able to complete the entire program-including all FAA certification checks and includes the dispatch written test within the six weeks. To make sure that you have all of the tools to be successful in your initial 200 hour dispatcher course we will give you a laptop computer, programmed for your dispatcher course, for you to keep. Ask About our In-House Financing Options When the student graduates they have a dispatch license. Pre-Req: NONE OPEN TO ALL Initial Dispatcher Course – 100 Hours (2 1/2 Weeks) For students with a busy schedule, we offer aircraft dispatcher course that is 100 hours over two and half weeks. You will begin this course with 100 hours of home study preparing for your in class instruction. This course prepares you for your FAA Aircraft dispatcher’s license. To make sure that you have all of the tools to be successful in your initial 200 hour dispatcher course we will give you a laptop computer, programmed for your dispatcher course, for you to keep. Pre-Req: NONE OPEN TO ALL Aviation Experince Dispatcher Course (40 Hours) For those who pre qualify for the Practical Test, who will benefit from the 40 hours of test prep. The 40 hours is spent solely on preparing for the FAA Practical Test. This course is not FAA Regulated, we do not have to inform them of this class, nor will it be monitored. Students will get a Certificate of Completion and sent to the Designated Examiner for their Practical and license. Pre-Req: A total of at least 2 years experience in the 3 years before the date of application, in any one or in any combination of the following areas: (1) In military aircraft operations as a-- (i) Pilot; (ii) Flight navigator; or (iii) Meteorologist. (2) In aircraft operations conducted under part 121 of this chapter as-- (i) An assistant in dispatching air carrier aircraft, under the direct supervision of a dispatcher certificated under this subpart; (ii) A pilot; (iii) A flight engineer; or (iv) A meteorologist. (3) In aircraft operations as-- (i) An Air Traffic Controller; or (ii) A Flight Service Specialist. Course requires the dispatch written (ADX) be passed before starting class cost not included in course price. When the student graduates they have a dispatch license. Courses are conducted at our Miami Training Center and are delivered in phases, beginning with basic aeronautical principles and progressing through airline transport operations. Instruction covers each step of a commercial flight plan, including preflight loading, weight and balance, fuel requirements, route of flight, en route weather, and post flight reporting. Students are taught every aspect of the dispatcher position, with continual emphasis on safety, efficiency, and economy of airline operation. |
